徐健哲分享麻省理工學院學士後建築組第一學期學習經驗

Works in MIT March Program Level 1

Dear Chi Yi.

Here are my documentations for the first semester in March1 Program.
I think that the core studios and subjects here are well organized so that what we learned in the courses can be applied in the studio immediately.
For example, in Ex 1, we learned projection drawings and Scott Cohen's studies, Contested Symmetrie, from 4.105, read Eisenmean's works from 4.210, and did drawings from 4.103. In Ex2, we learned basic CAD, Rhino tools and concepts of architectural * weight in Illustrator from 4.105, studied Koolhaas's works and his programs, Stan Allen's Field Conditions from 4.210, and drew perspectives and axon of the project by pencils and chorals from 4.103. In Ex3, we learned some plugin software and tools for Rhino and Rendering Software from 4.105, read Robin Evans, Michael Hays and Diller Scofidio's early works about drawings from 4.210, and went to site for sketches and did some prospective drawings from 4.103.
Besides, we learned basic construction details and materials in 4.461.
What we learned from the subjects are all encouraged to apply in studio, at the same time, students can find or develope their own way to process their design by these tools, what the faulty call these weapons.

心得分享 不斷被提醒的設計觀察力

謝謝張老師和健哲前輩無私分享如此寶貴的經驗
這樣的分享鼓舞著同樣非建築背景的我_以下是一些心得分享_請多指教

健哲前輩在之前的作品集當中就以獨特的觀察力而讓我大開眼界
跳脫腦海對事物的定型_單純用眼睛觀察探究事物的本質_找到新的概念並加以發揮
例如:用音樂的頻率去創造空間的可能性以及這次平常看似不起眼的紙屑居然可以搭起空間的橋梁_扮演連結的角色....

從健哲前輩這次的分享當中再度印證此事 設計的觀察力
回過頭反思 設計到底是甚麼? 好像不是用酷炫的造型就可以解釋的

觀察力 讓一個作品有了故事 一個可深化想像的情節

像是 同樣是連結的概念_可否用抹布擰乾時表面所形成的質紋去做表現(動態_連結)
